sip and see fundraiser
ABOUT THIS EVENT
Michigan Fosters is dedicated to sharing our space with those impacted by foster care, but on June 9th, we will open our doors to the community at large to show folks what we do, how we do it, and how they can come along side us to help.
Our Board Members and Lead Volunteers will be on hand to provide tours of Journey Home and our Family Care Coordination Programs as we invite our neighbors and donors to take a peek at the big things happening inside this little house in Holland Heights.
who we are
Michigan Fosters is a relatively new non-profit in Ottawa County, but the amount of growth we have experienced in just a few short years has been astonishing. There is still so very much work to do, though, as we strive to meet the growing needs of the nearly 300 families in Ottawa County affected by foster care.
Just last year, we were able to provide 235 meals to foster families and the children in their care, as well as 69 MiBundle deliveries of household necessities, hygiene products, and clothing to help support new foster placements, along with 26 bicycles for foster children. Additionally, Journey Home has hosted countless parenting visits and holiday celebrations for families working toward reunification. This cozy and welcoming hub also serves as neutral ground for Family Team Meetings as well as monthly Foster Collective gatherings of non-profits, agencies, and local volunteers working to share resources and information toward accomplishing common goals.

make an impact
TO EXPAND OUR REACH, we are asking local businesses to sponsor what we hope to be the first of many Sip & See Events at Journey Home. Help us show folks first-hand how Michigan Fosters is working to impact positive change within the foster community by wrapping around foster families, supporting children in care, encouraging families toward reunification, and bringing added collaboration between local non-profits, organizations, and child welfare agencies in West Michigan.
